Space Shuttle Endeavour



Space Shuttle Endeavor and ended his career after 19 years and 25 flights. She landed a few hours ago from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, after one last mission to the International Space Station. The Endeavor is the youngest of NASA space shuttle fleet and was built as a replacement for Challenger, destroyed its launch in 1986. In the 12 days and 22 hours spend in the ISS, in the last mission, Endeavour's crew conducted four spacewalks to complete assembly of the orbital outpost American side of 100 billion dollars, installed in orbit since 1998. The main objective of the mission was transported and installed on the ISS of a giant cosmic ray detector in an experiment worth $ 2 billion dedicated to investigating the Universe invisible and explaining its beginnings. This spectrometer is the most expensive device ever carry a spacecraft. The shuttle will be preserved and can be seen in a museum in the United States.
